The research is well summarized in this article from the NY Times
magazine. It explains the debate (IQ improvement, fluid intelligence
gains...sounds sketchy, I know but what interests me is the working
memory impact) the kinds of training and the need for continuing the
training IF you believe it's worthwhile. (You have to maintain a
regimen for your body to stay fit, right? I have seen the progress and
the confidence building in one of my students, in particular. She
faithfully "played" at least 15 minutes 5 times a week for several
weeks. She loved Lumosity and believed it made a difference,
transferring to other tasks.
