Please come to the regional meeting for the Connecticut chapter of the Northeast Association of Learning Specialists!
Just the facts...
Who: NEALS members (and potential members)
When: Tuesday February 11th from 4:30 to 6:30
Where: The M. Burch Tracy Ford Library, Miss Porter's School, Farmington CT
As we move into the toughest stretch of time in boarding schools, let's lighten things up with an afternoon of coffee and conversation with like-minded colleagues.
We'll have a brief introduction from NEALS president Susan Cole Ross, sharing information about the newly revamped NEALS website - which can be found at https://old.nealsonline.org - as well as a preview of our spring meeting with Jerome Schultz on April 24th at the Fay School.
In addition to collegial discussion, we're very fortunate to have Caryl Frankenberger and Ted Backes as our guests. Many of you know Caryl as a skilled and seasoned psychoeducational diagnostician and educational consultant. Caryl and Ted also work with the Cogmed Working Memory Training Program and are delighted to join us to talk about working memory and executive function skills, and to share the insights they've gained through their work. More information on Caryl, Ted, and their experience can be found at Caryl's website at http://www.falearningsolutions.com/edu/cogmed-2/
Please RSVP to Rebecca Plona at rebecca_plona@missporters.org by February 6th with names of those attending and, if you still need to, register your membership at https://old.nealsonline.org for this school year. We can't wait to see you!
Directions to Miss Porter's School can be found at http://www.porters.org/Page/Explore/Directions-to-Campus Once you've parked your car in the visitors' lot, please follow the signs to the M. Burch Tracy Ford Library.
Sincerely,
Rebecca and Susan
